rental management mandate

Rent control made its comeback on July 1st.

A decree has just set the rental prices for real estate applicable in the 80 districts of the capital, with a reduced rent, a reference rent and an increased rent for each.

Determined according to the number of rooms and the construction period of the building, these rates were established for empty and furnished housing by the Observatoire des loyers de l'agglomération parisienne (Olap).

In practice, when signing a new lease, the owner must respect this official scale: the rent must not be 20% higher than the so-called "reference rent".

The return of rent control in Paris is not a surprise. It is the pure and simple application of the Elan law. But challenges are already being heard. To be continued!
